2007 OVERVIEW
It has been a great year for the Lumpini Club what with the opening of our new full time gym in Southampton and great successes in competitions.
There are many students this year who have shown great commitment to their training and this is evident in the individual progress they have made. We have had some great performances from interclubs to professional competitions both in Thai Boxing and MMA.
Also we had the great seminar with Khunpinit Kaewsamrit earlier in the year and held both interclubs and our hugely successful Capital Punishment Event in London. Well done to Dan Hope, who in the past six months has had many wins and took the UKMF English Title in October. Also, well done to Graham Lewis, Tom Watson and Ondrej Stary for their successes in Thai Boxing and K1 this year. Also, Tom Watson has had great year competing at Cage Rage and got the opportunity to go and train with Randy Couture in the U.S. Well done to all of you for representing the gym and yourselves so well.
It has also be a year tainted by sadness due to the death of our dear friend and former fighter Stuart Wright, but Stuart was a great advocate to 'having a laugh', enjoying life and always smiling, so we take his memory with us into a positive, successful and great 2008. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone..
